Is there any way this could be linked to the actual carbondiet login rather than having to sign up twice?

I’ve been thinking about this actually. The forum is using a system called Beast, which I’ve just downloaded and installed without much customisation. However, apparently someone has tried to use Beast with their own app and succeeded, so perhaps I will give this a bit of a go. I definitely agree that it would be better…

A bit of investigation on my bookshelf shows that this is pretty straightforward. I need to make some changes to the Carbon Diet database to do it, but I was intending to do some of that this week anyway, so hopefully this forum will be fully integrated before too long.

Some investigation today has shown that while Rails is quite capable of handling a single user table for both, it falls over a bit when it tries to join everything together in the more complex queries. Short of merging Beast completely into the Carbon Diet, I’m not sure what to do about that, so this feature is probably going to go on the back burner for a while. It’s still on the list, but it might take a little longer.
